Frequently Asked Questions

Sweeney Ceiling Moulds have an uncompromising attitude when it comes to quality and commitment to service

How long does it take to fit cornice mould to an average sized ceiling?

To fit a cornice mould to an average sized room (Approx. 16’×14’) will take approximately 5-6 hours. Cove mould will take 2-3 hours.

Is it dusty and messy in a lived-in home?

We spread dust sheets on your floor before installation and cover any fittings that remain within the room. After completion we will vacuum and dust any residue and will leave your room as clean and tidy as we found it.

What does the customer need to do to prepare?

If it is a lived-in home the room will need to be cleared of obstructive free standing furniture, soft furnishings and wall pictures. If necessary we will help with large pieces of furniture.

At what stage should cornice mould be fitted in a new build?

Cornice mould should preferably be installed after the finished concrete floors are sufficiently dried out, before painting and second fix joinery is started.

Is there any additional work once installed by Sweeney Ceiling Moulds?

No. All moulds will be sanded, filled and ready for painting after installation.
